The Zoological museum is situated in the East of Copenhagen, in the university park, and is part of Copenhagen University. It is divided thematically. The first section deals with the history of Danish plant and animal life from earliest times. The second section of the museum explores animal life from “pole to pole” – taking the visitor on a journey through the different habitats found in various regions of the world. The third part of the museum is the Ocean Hall, devoted to life beneath the waves. The museum is designed to be particularly appealing and accessible to children.
