The Danish Yachting Museum is situated in the old stable blocks of Valdemar Slot, a large estate outside Svendborg. The Danish aristocracy and royal family’s love of yachting is well-known and the patron of the museum is the Queen’s husband, HRH Prince Henrik.The museum contains whole boats, scale models, yachting equipment and memorobilia. The museum contains a dinghy in which a four times Olympic medallist won his first race at Cowes.
