The Wild Swans lies in Munke Mose, the central Odense park located by the river. It is an elaborate piece, depicting a group of swans in beautiful detail. The work refers to Hans Christian Andersen’s tale of the same name. Andersen was born in the city, and this connection attracts many tourists here. This sculpture, cast in bronze, was created by Carl Hugo Liisberg, who was also responsible for the "Sea Horse" in the river nearby. It was unveiled in 1955.
