Vor Frue Church is dedicated to Our Lady. It stands in the middle of Nyborg, in the main square. The church was founded in the late fourteenth century by Queen Margrethe I. It is built in a grand Gothic style. The church has been extensively added to and restored over the centuries, and some of what is visible is neo-Gothic reconstruction from the nineteenth century. Its interior contains a beautiful seventeenth century pulpit and a fourteenth century crucifix.
