Vester Nebel Church lies to the north east of the city of Esbjerg. It is a medieval village church. It was built in the fourteenth century. The exterior of the church is whitewashed. Inside there are medieval murals on the walls of the choir from just before the Reformation. There is a very old medieval crucifix mounted on the North Wall. During the 1950s a restoration revealed that it had relics hidden within it, and these were found together with a note from a priest in Ribe, stating he had placed them there. It was dated 1318.
