Valby Church lies in the countryside a short drive due north of the Sjælland town of Helsinge. The medieval church is mainly constructed of sandstone. The church was substantially extended during the fourteenth century. The tower is very high and acts a landmark visible for many miles around. It was built in the fifteenth century of the large medieval bricks known as monk stone. The parish church serves a Lutheran congregation.
