The protected area of Trylleskoven lies by the coast to the north of Køge, bewteen Solrød and Karlslunde. It is comprised of a plantation which reaches right up to the edge of the beach. This supports an interesting range of plant and small animal life. There are hillside areas by the plantation that are allowed to grow wild with heather. These are being managed traditionally through the use of grazing sheep. There are established paths here that are popular with walkers. There is a car park.
