The Trinitatis church is attached to the Round Tower, Christian IV’s best-known contribution to the Copenhagen landscape. Close to the university, the church was originally intended for students and scholars. The name “Trinity church” refers both to the Holy Trinity, and to the fact that the whole building served three functions – as church, royal observatory and university library. It now serves as an extremely grand parish church, and is regular venue for concerts.
