Tolstrup Church lies in the countryside to the north of Brønderslev. It dates from the medieval period. Built in the thirteenth century, the oldest parts, the choir and nave, are in the Romanesque style. This is the equivalent of the Norman in English church architecture. The church has a wide, whitewashed tower. This was built in 1937. The church had previously possessed a Gothic tower, but this was seriously dilapidated and required replacement.
