Tivoli is a Danish institution that inspires strong, and usually positive, emotion in local people. The inspiration for Disneyland, Tivoli is quite extraordinary in being a highly equipped pre-war amusement park in the centre of a major city. It is prettily landscaped. There is a large range of fairground or theme park-style rides, ranging from merry-go-rounds to cutting edge modern hair-raising experiences. Tivoli features bars, cafes and restaurants, a concert hall and a mini-aquarium. Don’t miss the late-night fireworks in summer.
