Tillitse Church lies in the countryside just to the west of the village of Dannemare in the south of Lolland. The church was built during the thirteenth century. The apse, chancel and nave are Romanesque in style as a consequence. Alterations were made in the seventeenth century and as a consequence of a nineteenth century restoration. The font is medieval and carved of granite. It contains a fine silver bowl depicting the baptism of Christ. The altarpiece and pulpit are seventeenth century.
