Situated in the little village of Sønderho, a bus ride, drive or cycle ride away from the ferry terminus to Esbjerg, the Tile Museum provides a charming insight into the seafaring days of the residents of Fanø. The tiles were collected by a local artist and date from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Dutch hand-painted ceramics were classic precious momentoes brought back by sailors from their travels and are still frequent adornments in traditional homes. They are the collection of a local artist. The collection contains information about the tiles origins and history.
