This working exhibition of a traditional craft is based in a real old smithy which dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. It is manned by volunteers, some of whom worked in the industry prior to the smithy’s closure. The blacksmith’s shop originally produced work largely to serve Aabenraa’s merchant shipping insustry. You can watch the men at work at regular times, and inspect many finished products of the metalworker’s craft. A fascinating insight into bygone times.
