Textile Museum

Much of modern Herning’s prosperity was based on the presence of the textile trade and this is why a textile museum has been set up here. The museum is located in a nineteenth century wool mill. Active workshops demonstrate exactly what conditions were worked in, and what skills were required. Many large items of machinery are retained intact, including looms and boilers. The museum has good parking facilities, a popular café, and a shop selling an extensive range of textiles. Guided tours are possible by arrangement.
