Tandslet Church lies in the southern part of the island of Als, in the heart of the tiny village of Over Tanslet. The church has no tower. The bell tower is a seperate structure made of oak that stands on top of an old Bronze Age burial mound. The interior of the church is well worth seeing owing to the survival of wall frescoes from before the Reformation. The pulpit was completed in 1576. The altarpiece is the work of artist Jes Jessen and was made in the late eighteenth century.
