There are a number of little tool houses at Stenberg Landing that date from around 1900 when, owing to technological changes, it first became necessary to have places to store and work on fishing equipment near the coast. The houses were made from cement by the fishermen themselves. They were restored to their original state in 2000. One salvage house from 1931 houses an exhibition on the history of the fishing community, and especially on the lifeboat service. It contains a model of a nineteenth century rowed lifeboat.
