St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church was begun in 1928 and dedicated in 1930. A community of St Vincent nuns had already been resident in the town for about 30 years previous to this, and they are still based around the church. The church was built in a Gothic style designed to be reminiscent of the pre-Reformation churches in the rest of the town. Much of the interior work is Belgian. The church serves the Roman Catholic community of North Zealand, largely suppressed since the Reformation, and welcomes visitors of all faiths from overseas.
