St Norbert’s Church is the centre of Roman Catholic worship in Vejle. Although Catholicism was largely suppressed in Denmark after the Reformation, a large number of churches were built to serve immigrant and indigenous populations in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. St. Norbert’s is a large three-aisled church built between 1922 and 1924 in red brick and whose organ and bell were added around the beginning of the Second World War. It is named after a medieval bishop.
