St. Alban’s Roman Catholic Church stands in the heart of the historic city of Odense. It was consecrated in 1908. It was built on land purchased by Cathoilic Church which previously belonged to the Bishop of Odense. It is built in brick in early Gothic style - its steeple rises 54 metres. The church was founded by the Austrian Redomptorists and their influence is to be seen in the presence of Tyrolean woodcuts in the church. The altarpiece depicts the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven. There is a chapel dedicated to Danish Saint Knud (or Canute the Holy).
