Spørring Church is situated to the north of the city of Aarhus near Trige. The oldest parts of the church are Romanesque in style – the present tower was added in the twentieth century. Three important frescoes were discovered in a 1954 restoration. These are late Gothic in style and date back to the late fifteenth century. One is allegorical and depicts the world turned upside-down as geese hang a fox. The others depict a fox and chickens and unicorns.
