Holstebro, as part of its impressive program of public artworks, commissioned renowned sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard to create sculptures at three points on Nørregade. All three are granite water sculptures. He intersection with Rådhusstræde contains the sculpture “The Source of Life” which is created in many shades of blue. Water flows over the stone creating a living feel to the sculpture. Its spiral base pattern is an ancient symbol of fertility.
