Sohngårdsholm Park was established to the south west of Aalborg town centre in the late nineteen fifties, and is named after the smaller mansion house in the town, which lies nearby. It covers around seven hectares. It contains the Urania Observatory. Among its many attractions are the huge range of flowers that grow here, providing a riot of colour at many times of year, and the orchard of 300 apple trees.
