Skødstrup Church lies a few kilometres to the north of Aarhus city and is near to the bay. The main body of the church is made of roughly hewn stone, as is clearly visible; this dates from the Romanesque period. The small tower and porch are late medieval additions. The interior furniture of the church is of interest owing to its connections with a nearby landed estate; special seating for the privileged classes complements a fine baroque altarpiece.
