Over the Limfjord bridge from Aalborg town centre, in the northern suburb of Nørresundby, you can find Skanse Park. It is a green area covering around five hectares that is founded around the site of an old seventeenth century fort. As a consequence it is unusually hilly. The park contains lots of established trees which provide shade in summer and a decent children’s playground, as well as plenty of room for games.
