The Sirius Observatory is situated in the centre of Vejle and is a working facility that is opened to the public. Møller Nicholaisen, a keen amateur astronomer, founded it in 1923. The observatory has a two metre long refractor telescope through which one can marvel at the wonders at the universe. The observatory is only opened to the public on clear nights when viewing is likely to be satisfactory. Group visits are possible if arranged in advance.
