The Sea Horse is a famous sculpture that is located in the centre of Odense, in the river next to the Sluice Bridge and by Munke Mose park. It depicts a stylised sea horse, perhaps more closely resembling a real horse stranded in the water. The sculpture was unveiled in 1939. It is by sculptor Carl Hugo Liisberg. It was originally planned on a smaller scale and to be located in the outdoor swimming baths, but the commissioners, on seeing the plans, decided it deserved a more prominent location.
