Sankt Pouls Kirke (Saint Paul’s Church) stands in the centre of Korsør. It was designed by the architect J. D. Herholdt and consecrated in 1871. The church replaced a medieval building on the same site St. Gertrude’s. Much of the inventory of the new church was taken from the old building. This includes the limestone font, which is from the thirteenth century and of Swedish limestone. The richly carved pulpit is from the mid-seventeenth century and the church’s votive ship was made in 1788. The church acts a venue for concerts.
