The Royal reception rooms are part of the Christianborg complex. In order to see them you need to join an official guided tour. They are located on the first floor and used for the royal reception of foreign dignitaries, and other key state occasions. They are richly decorated with works of art. Most are open to the public. They include the throne room, notable for its huge painting depicting the legendary birth of the Danish flag, or Dannebrog, which is supposed to fallen from the sky onto a battlefield in Estonia.
