The Randers Cultural and Historical Museum traces the development of the town and the surrounding area from ancient times. The collection is wideranging. One highlight is a very fine collection of Danish silverware and other locally produced crafts. Another is a recreation of the living area of a nineteenth century bourgeois home hung with over three hundred original paintings. The museum has a cafeteria and shop.
