The Old Lifeboat Station in Sønderho is located on the southern edge of the delightful island of Fanø, and is a simple brick built building adorned with painted Danish flags. It is now a museum dedicated to the voluntary lifeboat service on the island. It contains the horsedrawn lifeboat that was once central to the safety and security not only of local seafarers but also of all passing down the west coast. The lifeboat is fully equipped with its original fittings and tools.
