Nykøbing Falster Zoo lies on the northeastern edge of the town. It contains animals from all over the world. These include hairy highland cattle, goats, otters and llamas. The zoo houses a collection of snakes. There are also colourful parrots and other jungle birds. Various special activities are organised for children. The zoo has a park which contains a chidren’s playground. There is a picnic area, as well as a cafeteria. You can buy souvenirs at the shop.
