Nordby church is the main church on the island of Fanø, and is situated in the main town, near the ferry port. It is a post-reformation structure, and has been extensively restored so that it closely resembles its appearance on consecration in 1786. The interior is attractive and peaceful and contains several interesting features. These include a twelve-stop organ dating from 1844, a polished granite font, and nine model ships, from various periods in history that hang around the walls. Regular services in the rite of the Danish Lutheran Church are conducted.
