The Danish Museum of Nursing History is housed in a former sanatorium opened around 100 years ago to nurse children with TB. The museum features reconstructions using authentic artefacts and waxwork models. These reconstructions include the poor living conditions many urban dwellers faced at the time the sanatorium was opened, nurses’ living quarters and an operating theatre circa 1930. The museum also contains displays and information on all aspects of the nursing profession. Parking and picnic facilities are available.
