The Museum of Modern Glass Art is situated in the leafy district of Frederiksberg and is highly unusual in that it is entirely underground and has no natural light. This is because "The Cisterns", as it is also known, is constructed in a former subterranean reservoir, and this dramatic setting makes it worth a visit in itself. The museum contains a major collection of modern Danish stained glass artefacts in a display area of over 4000 square metres. It also contains some 18th century pieces. A quite unique experience in art galleries.
