Munkholm park is situated on the edge of the small town of Mariager, which lies on the banks of the beautiful fjord of the same name and is near Hobro. It is a peaceful forested area which has been a local retreat since the nineteenth century. There is a reputed “holy well” in the park, and an old hermit’s house. Several goldfish ponds can be found here along with a children’s playground and plenty of seating for those seeking a quiet spot to rest and relax.
