The Monks’ Brick Kiln lies in the centre of Vejle, and is one of the few remaining pieces of physical evidence of the activities of the monastery that once stood on the site of the current Town Hall. The ruins of the brick-making facility date from the fourteenth century, when brick manufacture was an important activity that the Dominicans were involved in. The kiln was fully excavated by the National Museum in the 1920s and is now in the care of the local authority.
