Mølleparken means “The Mill Park” in English. It is an extensive green area first established in the nineteen thirties. It is located fairly centrally in the town opposite the hospital. It is criss-crossed with footpaths and surrounded by established deciduous trees. A particularly striking feature of the park is the massive 1976 sculpture “Noah’s Ark” by Rolf Roda Railinger, a gift from the people of Israel to Denmark not least for their efforts in rescuing the Jewish population from the Nazis.
