Map
The Medical History Museum charts the history of Danish medicine. It is housed in the former quarters of the Royal College of Surgeons and is part of Copenhagen university. Exhibitions focus on the developments in various areas such as surgery, psychiatry, the treatment of infectious diseases and epidemics, and the development of the x-ray. Plenty of original instruments are on display, including some of the gruesome-looking tools used in early surgery. Guided tours are available in English.
