The Marienlund forest is popular natural area in Kolding that appeals to local people and tourists alike. Unusually this wooded area stretches close to the centre of town. There are several marked trails for walkers. The paths stretch pass a small lake and the former forest warden’s house. An excellent green area for those who wish to enjoy trees, the open air and the bird, plant and animal life that fill the area. Guided tours with a forest ranger are available.
