Mariager Museum is housed in a fine seventeenth century timbered merchant’s house. The area is known for its prehistoric excavations and finds, and the museum holds a good collection of Stone Age tools collected from the immediate locality. It also contains a room of rococo furniture and a recreation of an eighteenth century farm sitting room. The museum holds temporary exhibitions and art shows throughout the year.
