Mariager Abbey Church

The Mariager Abbey Church lies just to the south of the centre of the fjord town. The church was built in the second half of the fifteenth century and its grand facade presents an imposing sight. It originally served the wealthy Abbey that was dissolved after the Reformation. The building then became a parish church. The interior contains the graves and memorial inscriptions of many noble families connected with the church. It has benefitted from a recent restoration.
