Opened in 1974, Louis Tussaud’s wax museum is a popular tourist attraction for Danes and foreigners. It closely resembles the Madam Tussaud’s museum in London, although the selection of figures is far more focussed on Scandinavia and Denmark in particular. There is a particular emphasis on the ubiquitous Hans Christian Andersen and his fairy tales. The museum is easy to find if you are spending only a short time in the city and have children to keep amused, as it is located on H. C. Andersens Boulevard near the central railway station.
