Kultorvet is found in Central Copenhagen near Noerreport Station and between the streets of Koebmagersgade and Frederiksborggade. Its name means “The Coal Square”. It is so-called because this was once the place that Copenhageners came to buy their fuel. Nowadays it is a bustling place surrounded by pavement cafes that are busy both during the day and the evening and hosts a variety of market stalls selling flowers, fruit and vegetables.
