Karlslunde Church lies to the north of Køge, in the direction of Copenhagen. The church lies at the heart of a small town. It dates from the thirteenth century. The nave of the church is built of limestone in Romanesque style. The tower and porch are Gothic additions. These are built of the large medieval bricks known as "monk stone". The celebrant’s chair, the pulpit and the altarpiece were all made in the seventeenth century.
