The statue of Justice, also known as the "snake-killer", stands outside the police headquarters not far from the central raiway station. The police square is dramatic, and the figure, despite being far greater than life-size, is rather dwarfed by the building. The figure is seen crushing the head of a snake, which represents evil or injustice. The sculpture was created by Einar Utzon-Frank and is a familiar landmark in this part of the city. It was erected in 1925.
