The Church of Jersie lies in a little village to the east of Solød Strand, a short drive from Køge Bay. The church is a delightful building, constructed in red brick, simple and harmonious in design. The nave and porch are whitewashed. The Romanesque nave dates from around the year 1200. The choir was built around a hundred years later. The tower and porch were added during the fifteenth century, in early Gothic style. The church serves an Evangelical Lutheran parish.
