The Danes are famous for silverware, and Danish silver has been sought after and prized since at least the nineteenth century. There is no more famous name in Danish silverware than Georg Jensen, and underneath the Jensen outlet on Amagertorv is a popular free museum. Here you can view many pieces, including royal commissions, produced by Jensen’s workers during the fast half of the twentieth century. There is also correspondence from the founder of the Jensen silverware firm. If you enjoy fine design and beautiful things, this exhibition may be a welcome break from hard shopping on the "walking street".
