Situated in the centre of Holstebro, this museum is housed in a purpose built and architecturally acclaimed modern complex designed by Inger and Johannes Exner. It was opened as a museum in 1998. It comprises two exhibition halls and a garden. It is devoted to the exploration of the themes of spirituality, ethics and religion as expressed in art. Its primary emphasis is on art as expressed within the Christian tradition. The museum has a shop.
