Israels Plads is a square located near to the Ørsted park and Norreport station. It was for many years the location of Copenhagen’s chief fruit and vegetable market, and some stalls selling such items remain in the area. Today, however, the main attraction of Israels Plads lies in the flea market that is a regular fixture here. The Danes are keen collectors and the sheer range of interesting knick-knacks of all sorts available here is sure to interest anybody looking for an unusual souvenir.
