Horne Church lies a few kilometres to the north of Varde, in a small village near Tistrup. It was built in the twelfth century from blocks of granite. The tower and porch, which are whitewashed, were added in late medieval times. It was originally consecrated to the martyr St. Lawrence. The church is intimately connected with the local manor house of Nørholm, and there is evidence of this connection around the building.
